International schools in Geneva, border area and Annecy

Geneva (Champel) – SWITZERLAND

The Lycée Rodolphe Töpffer is a French lycée that was founded in 1954 in a residential and green area near the center of Geneva. It is a cosmopolitan establishment that welcomes approximately 220 students of different nationalities (up to 25 per year) from 9 to 18 years old.

A personalized supervision with reduced-size classes and the mastery of foreign languages are priorities at this school. The students are fully prepared for entry into the Genevan junior high school, the Genevan high school, the French Baccalaureate, foreign language assessment including Cambridge, TOEFL as well as entry into all Swiss and foreign universities.

Nestled in a green environment on a hillside in Cologny, the International Institute of Notre Dame du Lac welcomes children aged between 3 and 11 years. An academic and international program is taught with the practice of English and German from 3 years old.

Since 2018, the school is committed to sustainable development and obtained the “Eco-Schools” label in 2019.

Grand Lancy (Geneva) – SWITZERLAND

Founded in 1903, the IIL is an international and multicultural school. It welcomes students from nursery school through secondary education, aged 3 to 19, prepating them for major certifications,including the International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, the Swiss Maturité and French Baccalaureate. ILL aims to be modern and open to the word and in that way is one of the pioneers in the integration of technology into school learning in Switzerland.

Versoix – SWITZERLAND

The Collège du Léman is an international private school founded in 1960 for students aged 2 to 18, where more than 110 nationalities are represented. The school has an incredible diversity of curricula and subjects taught as well as a bilingual curriculum from kindergarten. The school provides a choice of the International Baccalaureate, Swiss Maturité, French Baccalauréat and American diplomas. Summer and winter holiday camps are organized and the school provides more than 100 extra-curricular activities.

Ferney-Voltaire and Saint-Genis Pouilly – FRANCE

Created in 1961 in the heart of the Pays de Gex in order to meet the needs of the CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) the Cité scolaire internationale consists of a College in Ferney-Voltaire and the Lycée International spread over 2 sites (Ferney-Volaire and St-Genis-Pouilly). Both have international sections (English, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch). Today more than 2,500 students representing 90 nationalities are schooled.

Annecy-le-Vieux – FRANCE

Created in 2010 in Annecy-le-Vieux with a few preschool students, the school now caters for student aged 3 to 10. In 2018, opening of the 6ème (equivalent to Year 7 in the U.K) was the start of the lower Secondary school or Collège which open new grades every year.

First bilingual school in the area of Annecy with the goal of teaching English from an early age, its enrollment has continued to grow since its creation and confirms the growing success of this type of school. Since 2020, the college has joined the prestigious group of Cambridge schools which program and diplomas are recognized by the best universities and post-baccalaureate schools.

This school is divided into 2 sites (nursery school in Argonay and elementary school in Pringy) and welcomes children from 2 to 10 years old for bilingual English and French education.
